Restoration Fund

The restoration of the St. Georges Cathedral is one of the most valuable aspects of ministry, as it is important that members of the church have a meeting place that continues to be properly maintained and preserved.

The objectives are to:

• To restore and protect the St. Georges Cathedral and the churches residential and administration buildings.
• To maintain the exterior and interior architectural infrastructural components of the St. Georges Cathedral.
• To raise funds using acceptable and approved initiatives.
• Delivering education information about the building to create awareness and appreciation for the St. Georges Cathedral as a heritage site.
• To put in place a continual maintenance and rehabilitation plan to ensure the continual existence of the building and the church by ensuring a place of worship.

Projects phases:

Short Term Works

• Minor and Emergency rehabilitation works to ensure the integrity of the St. Georges Cathedral Structure, and the execution of minor repairs to existing structures owned by church.

Medium Term Works

• A phased structural maintenance program with defined timelines that will see the complete restoration of the St. Georges Cathedral building to complete prominence both interior and exterior. The medium term will also direct fund raising efforts and contributions towards the enhancing/refurnishing of the Denary and other administrative offices.

Long Term Works and Planning

• The third phase will take into account a ten to twenty years cycle of repair, maintenance and rehabilitation of the St. Georges Cathedral heritage site; maintenance…
